Giulia Villa is a final-year undergraduate student in Linguistics and Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin. She is actively involved in the university community, having been awarded the Trinity College Foundation Scholarship and founding the university’s Linguistics Society, the first of its kind in Ireland.
Giulia’s research interests are centred around linguistic multimodality and the syntactic contribution of gestures in multimodal communication, with a focus on Italo-Romance languages. She also works on sign languages and their formal syntactic description.
