The Syntax, Semantics, and Pragmatics Interfaces Reading Group organised by Valentina Colasanti, Elaine Uí Dhonnchadha, and John Saeed will be meeting Thursdays 13:00-14:00 in room 4050B, Arts Building, Trinity College on the following dates (put them in your diary!)
- 13 February
- 12 March (postponed)
- 26 March (postponed)
In each meeting we will discuss a paper in a student-friendly and informal environment. The only requirement is being interested in syntax, and/or semantics, and/or pragmatics, and/or their interfaces (e.g. syntax-pragmatics interface, syntax-semantics interface, and semantics-pragmatics interface, etc.). So, if you’re interested just join us!
We’ll be starting next Thursday 13 February with the following paper:
Genovesi, C. (2019). Metaphor and what is meant: Metaphorical content, what is said, and contextualism. Journal of Pragmatics, 157, 17-38.
